Location:
Sea Horse Divers is 10kms East of Galle on the main Galle –
Matara Road,
Galle is on the south west coast 125 Kms from Colombo.
From
the Airport:
we can organise a car to collect you from Colombo airport (about
3 hours away).
1) There are many taxis at the airport exit which will take
you directly from the airport all the way to Unawatuna.
2) There are trains from Colombo to Galle, several trains daily
and the cost is around Rps 100 one way. The journey is two and
a half to three and a half hours.
I prefer the train from Colombo but on arrival with a lot of
luggage I would recommend the “Taxi Option”
3) There is a bus service from the airport to Colombo Fort and
then a connection (every fifteen minutes or so when the bus
fills up) to Galle. The airport part is about 25 rupees and
the Galle run is about 150 rupees. The journey is again about
two and a half to three hours to Galle after the one and a half
hours from the airport to Colombo. Buses are small and often
very full!
After arriving in Galle there are many three wheelers (tuk-tuks)
that will take you to Unawatuna for around 150 rupees.
